We believe that the Bible, including both the Old and New Testament, was written through humans who were moved by the Holy Spirit and is thus the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God in its original manuscript. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 3:1,16-17).
We believe that personal faith in Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection is the only way that a person can receive God’s free gift of eternal life. We believe that personal faith involves repentance of one’s sin and belief in the saving power of Jesus’ death and resurrection as the only way of salvation. We believe that once a person is saved they are placed in the eternal righteousness of Jesus Christ and no one can snatch them out of the Father’s hand. We believe that personal faith will result in good works and righteous living. (John 3:16, 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 8:38, 39; 10:9, 10; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10).
We believe that The Triune God is the giver of Life. He created the heavens and the earth, and all that is within, for His glory. We believe that man and woman were made in the image of God, without sin, in order to glorify Him. Man and woman were commissioned by God to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, and to have dominion over all creation. (Genesis 1:26,27; Psalm 8:6).
We believe that Adam and Eve sinned when they disobeyed God, by giving into the temptation of the serpent, eating the fruit that God said not to eat. As a result, death came into the world and marred the image of God in mankind, making humanity incapable of pleasing Him. This death separates us from an eternal relationship with our Creator. (Romans 3:10-23, 5:12, 6:23; I John 1:8).
The fall of man
We believe that there is one God, who has eternally existed in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Deuteronomy 6:4; I Corinthians 8:6; II Corinthians 13:14).
We believe that The Father is the eternal God. He is the source of all life, and His very nature is love. He is holy and perfect. He is sovereign over all creation. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. He is kind, just, gracious and merciful. He is good, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. (Psalm 92:15; 1 John 4:8).
GOD the father
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is fully God and also became fully man, when He took on human flesh. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe that He lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary death for the sins of those who would believe. We believe that He rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that He will return, judge the living and the dead, restoring all things to Himself. (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-35; John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
god the son
We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts people of sin, righteousness and judgment; bears witness to the truth of the gospel; baptizes and indwells every believer in Christ at the moment of conversion; guides believers in the truth; empowers the believer to witness and to live godly lives; reassures the believer that he or she is God’s child; and seals the believer until the day of restoration. (John 14:16,17,26; 16:8-15; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9-17; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19; Ephesians 1:13,14).
God the holy spirit
The Church and her purpose
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, an elect spiritual family being continuously sanctified and built up into His image and representing His mission of making disciples of all nations until the day He returns. We believe that the Church is called to covenant love with one another through regular gatherings in local assemblies, under the guidance of elders and including the observances of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (John 13:35; Acts 2:42-47; Acts 14:13; Ephesians 1:3-6, 22, 23; Hebrews 10:24, 25).
The SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ will return for His bride, the Church, to be with Him in eternal glory. His return will be imminent and at an unknown hour. Those who are not His bride will be cast into eternal damnation with Satan and his demons. (Matthew 16:27; 25:46; Mark 14:62; John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 4:5; Philippians 3:20-21; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; 2 Timothy 4:1; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:11-15).
