Our Mission

To make disciples of Christ in the neighborhoods of Chicago and the nations of the world.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
— MATTHEW 28:19-20

Our vision

We exist to plant a house church identified by biblically-based teaching, missionally-minded outreach and caring community in each of Chicago's 77 neighborhoods. Through the planting of these churches, we are trusting in God to see people and whole families come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and grow as His disciples.

OUR Core values

Christ Centered - It’s all about Christ. “For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:11)

Missionally Minded - Christ has called us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Biblically Based - Scriptures are our sure word from God. (2 Peter 1:19-21)

Caring Community - We are called to care for one another. (Acts 2:42-47)

In 2008, a group of eight people began to meet together after church to study the book of Acts. In August of that year, five of those people visited Zambia to train indigenous leaders to teach the Word of God. Church for these leaders was under a tree or in a hut, and the gospel was advancing rapidly. Those visitors wondered what a similar simplicity would look like back in Chicago. On the flight home, they felt God call them to launch a multiplying house church movement to reach each of Chicago's 77 neighborhoods with the gospel.
